I can only advise this device, which works as my PC on which I also use chrome.. Admittedly it slows down a little bit sometimes too, but it has seen since and it remains, despite the number of years of experience, less heavy than what I have had to deal with the chromebook. Very disappointed in this computer, I had taken to be able to type my course during the lectures at the university, and in testing it with me I realize that I do not like at all I did not do a whole day with before returning it to Amazon. It does not have a right click, you can't have software word processing it does not read the hard drives external to play movies or other etc. I have a macbook air 2014 and this pc, with the chromebook is also efficient. It is excellent at any point, I receive perfectly the wifi, the pc is fast. I am well placed for this test because I work in the computer. I recommend it warmly. I tested several chromebooks and this one brings together everything that I expect : battery nickel screen quite satisfactory, keyboard and touchpad accurate, well laid out, very effective. The CPU is very efficient, and it doesn't heat up, so no noise of ventilation, and the memory is perfectly suitable for smooth navigation, even with a bunch of open tabs, video, etc... I recommend this chromebook! I love this computer, it meets my expectations. 1 to Windows 10 is very fast, the SSD makes this laptop a high-performance especially at start-up and shutdown of Windows. I have also evaluated its performance index using the testing standard Microsoft (Winsat Formal"). I compared it to my DELL XPS L702X, which date from 2011 and is also equipped with a i7 processor, and that had cost me 1200 € at the time. The ASUS ROG is more powerful by about 20% according to this test. This is what I was expecting. However, I have an Excel file with a macro complicated that I have written for professional reasons (2000 lines of program) and mathematical operations in a simple, but very many (hundreds of thousands of operations). Execution time with the DELL = 1min 30s... running time with the ASUS ROG = 2min 30s... So without wanting to play the geek, I think it should be taken with a grain of salt to the test "standard" that can be found here or there. There may be surprises. Note in passing: I hate the keyboard dark with a red illumination.. Received very quickly and widely expected because the original charger of my Macbook had given up the ghost (too fragile). I was able to get them up and running my computer without a problem (an old Macbook from before 2009). The shape of the plug is slightly different but the connector is the same.
